Peacock Glazed Work
Peacocking is a glaze technique that requires extra time but can yield beautiful results. To make these pieces, I draw precise lines in the interior with a special glaze that causes things to melt more easily. Within that pattern I place bright spots of color, then add a top coat that covers the entire piece. The final effect is that the colors melt and flow around each other in a way reminiscent of peacock feathers, hence the name.
